Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook, in conjunction with the Inner City Education Program (ICE), will host his second annual celebrity “ICE” Bowl at 10pin Bowling Lounge (330 N. State St. in Chicago) on Sat., Nov. 14 from 2:30 to 5:30 P.M.
Seabrook will be joined by several of his teammates, including Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp, Duncan Keith, Brian Campbell and Troy Brouwer along with Tommy Hawk, the team’s mascot and the Blackhawks Bud Light Ice Crew at the event. Local media celebrities Ravi Baichwal (ABC7 Chicago), Pat Boyle (Comcast SportsNet), Steve Cochran (Chicago’s WGN Radio 720), Paula Faris (NBC5 Chicago) and Harry Teinowitz (ESPN Radio) will also be participating.
“We are excited to be hosting this great event for the second consecutive year,” Seabrook said. “It’s fun to watch my teammates try their hand at bowling, all while raising money for such a wonderful cause.”
Now in his fifth season with the Blackhawks, Seabrook, 24, has been involved with the Inner City Education Program for the last four years, assisting at fundraisers and donating equipment. The Inner City Education Program was established in 2003 to help low-income children who play hockey obtain educational opportunities not otherwise available to them.
Fans interested in attending can purchase lane sponsorships that include bowling with the attending Blackhawks players and media celebrities or spectator tickets. There will also be a silent auction for Blackhawks and other sports memorabilia. For more information, log on to innercityeducation.org or call Brad Erickson at (773) 450-4217. Tickets can also be purchased at 10Pin Bowling Lounge.
