RUNTS CLUB CLINIC TONIGHT AT CARLSON

Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs are hosting an exclusing hockey and skating clinic for members of the Runts Kids Club tonight at Carlson Arctic Ice Arena. Sign up at the event tonight to become a Runt's Club member.

The clinic runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All kids who are members of the IceHogs Runts Kids Club can attend the clinic.

The clinic will consist of two segments with each lasting for one hour. The first session will be for new and inexperienced skaters. The second session will focus on the basic fundamentals of hockey.

Rental skates will be available for $2 per pair. Members participating in the second session will be required to bring their own pads, helmet and stick.

IceHogs players will be attending the event and participating in both sessions. Players that are not teaching any of the segments will be available to sign autographs.

-Half price admission to select Friday and Sunday home games
-Members only autograph session and hockey clinic
-Opportunity to go out on to the ice to help pickup Chuck-A-Pucks during all IceHogs home games

Next Home Game: Wednesday, Jan. 6 vs. Toronto Marlies. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs take on the Marlies for the second and final time in 2009-10. It’s a Golden Goal Wednesday, so if the IceHogs score a goal with 9:10 left on the clock in the third period, one lucky fan will win $10,000. It is also WXRX Student Rush night, and all high school and college students with a valid student ID can purchase the best available seat for just $10 at the MetroCentre’s box office up to one hour before the game.
