Week 2 Recap: The Rockford IceHogs made their annual trek to Abbotsford, British Columbia to take on the Heat in Week 2. After surrendering a two goal lead on Friday, Rockford regrouped for a victory on Sunday, moving to 3-1-0-0 on the season. The IceHogs return to Illinois in Week 3 to face the Chicago Wolves. On Friday, Rockford faces the divisional rival Wolves in Chicago for the first of 12 meetings. Saturday’s contest features the Wolves in Rockford for an Illinois Lottery Cup Series tilt.

Jeremy Morin Left Wing
In his first games returning to the ice after suffering a concussion on Jan. 15, forward Jeremy Morin notched goals in back-to-back games for the IceHogs in Week 2. On just his second shift of the game on Friday, Morin picked up a Chris DiDomenico pass and slipped the puck to the back of the net to give the IceHogs an early advantage. Two days later, Morin opened up the game with his second goal of the season in the IceHogs 3-2 win over Abbotsford on Sunday.

Friday, Oct. 21 at Chicago Wolves: The puck gets on the ice at 7:30 p.m. Rockford faces Chicago for the first of 12 meetings between the divisional rivals during the 2011-12 regular season.
