ROCKFORD SPLITS A PAIR WITH MILWAUKEE IN WEEK 20

Week 20 Recap
In two crucial games against the Milwaukee Admirals, the Rockford IceHogs came away with a split in Week 20 with both teams winning on the road. After a light two game week, the IceHogs are slated for four more during Week 21 including three home games.

The IceHogs had their third sellout of the season on Saturday night when they drew 5,953

Over Rockford’s last nine home games dating back to Jan. 2, the team is averaging 4,331 fans

Since returning from injury on Jan. 8, goalie Corey Crawford has appeared in 14 of Rockford’s 17 games

Crawford has a record of 9-3-0-1 during that span and is 4-0-0-1 in his last five road contests

Defenseman Richard Petiot has established career highs in goals (4), assists (23) and points (27) this season for Rockford

Rockford plays four games during Week 21, their second to final four-game week during the 2009-10 regular season

Each of Jake Dowell’s last four goals have been game winners

Winger Pete MacArthur matched his rookie season point total of 25 points in 49 games this season, 15 fewer games than last year

The IceHogs play their only Monday game of the season this week

Hot Hog Week 20:
Center Evan Brophey chipped in a goal in both of Rockford’s games during Week 20. Brophey notched Rockford’s first goal on Friday in the IceHogs 4-2 win at Milwaukee. The third-year center also tallied a marker in Saturday’s 3-2 loss at home against the Admirals. Brophey has 11 goals overall this season and finished the week +1.

Upcoming Games:
Monday, Feb. 15 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins: The puck drops at 2:05 p.m. It’s a Kids' Day Game presented by Best Buy and also sponsored by the Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross and FOX 39. All fans in attendance will receive a goalie mask replica. All kids 14 and under can purchase $5 tickets and the IceHogs along with Best Buy will be giving 10 game systems including five Wiis and five Playstation 3s. All high school and college students with a valid student ID can purchase the best available seat for just $10 at the MetroCentre's Box Office up to one hour prior to the game with the WXRX Student Rush program.

Friday, Feb. 19 vs. San Antonio Rampage: Game time is 7:05 p.m. Rockford opens up two straight contests against San Antonio at the MetroCentre as their four-game homestand continues. The first 2,500 fans to the game on Friday will pick up an IceHogs baseball hat courtesy of Pepsi, WXRX and 23 WIFR.

Saturday, Feb. 20 vs. San Antonio Rampage: The game starts at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs wrap up a four game homestand with their final home game against San Antonio on the regular season. The first 2,500 fans to the MetroCentre for Saturday’s tilt will receive an IceHogs jersey pillow from OSF and Q98.5.

Sunday, Feb. 21 at Milwaukee Admirals: The Hogs’ busy week concludes at 4 p.m. Rockford returns to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee to battle the Admirals on the road. The game is the eighth of ten on the season between the West Division foes and fourth of five in Milwaukee.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all of the IceHogs regular and post-season games on the Hogs flagship radio station Rockford’s Voice, WNTA-AM 1330 and 30 regular season games on ESPN Radio 1380-AM, WTJK. Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with AHL Live! Visit the IceHogs Web site (icehogs.com) and click on the “click here to watch the AHL Live” icon, and for just $7 you can catch all of the IceHogs action on your computer. Also, fans with Comcast Cable television in Rockford can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action this season. No Bud Light Hog Talk Tonight At Hooters:
Due to the IceHogs afternoon game against Grand Rapids on Monday, there will be no Bud Light Hog Talk tonight at Hooters near State and Perryville in Rockford. Fans can join WXRX’s Jim Stone from 6-7 p.m. most Mondays as he chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. Stop by and take advantage of some great food and Bud Light specials. If you can’t make it, tune into 1330 AM, WNTA.
