Week highlighted with first shutout of the season

Week 9 Recap
The Rockford IceHogs completed Week 9 of the 2007-08 American Hockey League regular season with a four-game unbeaten streak. On its first ever trip out east to take on Eastern Conference opponents, the IceHogs picked up a pair of shootout points. The Hogs now focus on two North Division foes in Week 10 including a home tilt with the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday.

Hot Hog Week 9:
After getting re-assigned by the Blackhawks back to Rockford, right winger Kris Versteeg picked up where he left off with the IceHogs during Week 9. The second-year winger tallied five points in three games including a pair of goals on Wednesday against Houston.

Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, Dec. 5 vs. Syracuse Crunch. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs welcome the Crunch to MetroCentre for the first time. Wednesday’s game is brought to you by Jose Curevo. The game is the first of three straight in Week 10 against a North Division foe. For tickets call (815) 968-5222.

Friday, Dec. 7 at Lake Erie Monsters. The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. It’s back on the road for the IceHogs, this time to Cleveland. The Hogs will face off with the Lake Erie Monsters for the first time ever in the front end of a two-game weekend series with the North Division club.

Saturday, Dec. 8 at Lake Erie Monsters. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. Rockford wraps up Week 10 with the back-end of its two game set with the Monsters at the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland. The game is also the final regular season meeting at Lake Erie between the two clubs.

Hog Talk Tonight At Cousin’s Bar and Grill:
Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin’s Bar and Grill! Cousin’s Bar and Grill is the site for the IceHogs weekly talk show. Appearing on the show this week is Hogs forwards Kris Versteeg and Adam Berti and Assistant Coach Ted Dent. The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T. Bud Light Hog Talk returns to the airwaves as well, as fans can tune in live to 1330-AM, WNTA to catch the show. Come out to Cousin’s Bar and Grill to talk Hogs hockey and enjoy some great Bud Light and food specials!
