Week 6 Recap:
The Rockford IceHogs opened the week on a positive note, defeating the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-3 at Van Andel Arena. But the IceHogs were unable to maintain the momentum, falling 7-6 in overtime to the Rivermen in Peoria on Friday. On the inaugural Heritage Night at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday, the IceHogs offense was unable to muster a goal, as Rockford lost 3-0 to Peoria. The IceHogs host the Oklahoma City Barons on Wednesday for the first meeting of the season between the two teams before traveling to Charlotte to battle the Checkers on Friday and Sunday.

Hot Hog: Week 6:
Ben Smith Center
Second-year winger Ben Smith notched five points in three games for Rockford during Week 6. Smith opened the week with the game-winning goal and #1 Star of the Game honors on Wednesday in Grand Rapids. On Friday in Peoria, Smith recorded his second multi-goal game of the season and added an assist in Rockford’s 7-6 overtime loss to the Rivermen. Smith leads the IceHogs with four power-play goals on the season.

Wednesady, Nov. 16 vs. Oklahoma City: Game time is 7:05 p.m. as the IceHogs host the Oklahoma City Barons for the first of four meetings between the two clubs this season. The Barons travel to the BMO Harris Bank Center again on Nov. 26 to close out the November slate. Fans can take advantage of Taco Bell Dollar Days on Wednesday with $1 beers, sodas, hot dogs and companion tickets.
Friday, Nov. 18 at Charlotte: The puck gets on the ice at 6 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena as the Rockford IceHogs travel to Charlotte to take on their newest divisional foes in the second of eight meetings this season. Charlotte defeated the IceHogs at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Nov. 6 in the first matchup between the teams.
Sunday, Nov. 20 at Charlotte: The game gets underway at 2 p.m. as the Rockford IceHogs take on the Charlotte Checkers at Time Warner Cable Arena in the third of eight contests between the two teams on the season.
Bud Light Hog Talk Back For More:
Bud Light Hog Talk returns to Granite City Food and Brewery for its weekly appearance at 6 p.m. tonight. Granite City is located at 7140 Harrison Ave. next to CherryVale Mall. Fans can join IceHogs in-studio host Stephen Nelson from 6-7 p.m. as he chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. Tonight, Nelson will be joined by IceHogs Assistant Coach Ben Simon, forward Jimmy Hayes, and defenseman Dylan Olsen. Take advantage of food and Bud Light specials.
