Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs fell short against the Manitoba Moose 5-2 on Saturday night inside the BMO Center.

Rockford jumped on the Moose early once again thanks to Connor Mylymok's second goal of the season. Ryan Mast and Jamie Engelbert earned assists on the rebound goal.

The Moose tied the game at 1-1 just two minutes into the 2nd period with a puck that deflected off Martin Misiak in front and was credited to Danny Zhilkin. Manitoba grabbed its first lead moments later with a Walker Duehr half-slapper that went through Stanislav Berezhnoy's five-hole.

The Hogs pulled even 2-2 after a beautiful Nick Lardis pass from below the goal line found Brett Seney in front for a tap-in. 

Manitoba struck twice in the back-half of the 2nd period to take a 4-2 lead into the 3rd period. First, it was a shorthanded goal from Zhilkin for his second of the frame, then Samuel Fagemo connected on his breakaway while deking to the backhand.

The Moose extended their advantage at 1:49 of the 3rd with a tally from the Moose captain Mason Shaw.
