Three game week on the bend for the IceHogs
Week 14 Recap
It was not home-sweet-home for the Rockford IceHogs during Week 14. The IceHogs went 1-3-0-0 during its first four-game week in 2007-08, but did knock off the division rival Chicago Wolves. Rockford concludes a five-game homestand on Friday against Toronto before returning to the road. After Friday’s game, Rockford will have hit the midway mark of the regular season.

Center Martin St. Pierre had his franchise record 15-game point streak (5g-17a) come to an end on Saturday against Lake Erie
The IceHogs were shutout for the first time this season when Lake Erie blanked them 2-0 at the MetroCentre on Saturday
Winger Troy Brouwer became the 12th different IceHogs skater to get re-called to the Chicago Blackhawks this season
Winger Sergei Samsonov accumulated an IceHogs single-game high 10 shots on goal on Saturday against Lake Erie
Entering Week 14, Rockford had only one home loss in 11 games. After a four game week at home, Rockford went 1-3-0-0.
Winger Mike Blunden chipped in his team-leading fourth game-winning goal of the season on Friday night against Chicago
Rockford gave up a season-high 20 shots on goal in the first period against Lake Erie on Saturday
The Hogs then held the Monsters to 11 shots on goal during the final two periods
Out of Rockford’s last nine games, the only team to score a power-play goal against the IceHogs is Chicago
Rockford will hit the mid-way point of the season after Friday’s game against Toronto
Hot Hog Week 14:
Rockford center Colin Fraser picked up his team-leading fourth multi-goal game of the season on New Year’s Eve and chipped in a pair of assists during Week 14. Overall, Fraser has 10 goals on the campaign and leads Rockford with a plus/minus rating of +15.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Jan. 11 vs. Toronto Marlies. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Hogs and Marlies meet for the second and final time this season and first at the MetroCentre in a battle of two of the top teams in the AHL. The first 1,000 fans 21-and older will receive an IceHogs Jersey Koozie courtesy of Bud Light.
Saturday, Jan. 12 at Milwaukee Admirals. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Rockford heads back on the road for its first trip to Milwaukee to battle the Admirals. The game is the first of five on the season at the Bradley Center and third of 10 overall against the West Division rivals.
Sunday, Jan. 13 at Quad City Flames. The puck drops at 5:05 p.m. For the first time since opening night, Rockford returns to Quad City to try to extinguish the Flames at the I-Wireless Center. The game is the fourth of eight on the regular season between Rockford and Quad City.

Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin’s Bar and Grill! The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T. Tonight’s show will feature IceHogs forward Derek Nesbitt and defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson. IceHogs Head Coach Mike Haviland will also be on hand.
