Peoria, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs take on their foes to the south tonight, the Peoria Rivermen, at the Carver Arena in Peoria. Tonight’s game will be the third time in 10 days that the IceHogs and the Peoria Rivermen exchange blows. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Rockford and Peoria skated to a scoreless first period on Friday night. The Rivermen grabbed the edge on the shots, 8-7 through the first 20-minutes.
Tonight’s game can be heard on WNTA 1330 and Comcast Cable Channel 57. The game can be seen on AHL Live.
The Rivermen came out on top during the last meeting between the two clubs with a 6-3 win over the IceHogs on Monday. The IceHogs head to Peoria looking to overcome their losing streak on the road against the Rivermen, 0-3-0-1.
Jeff Taffe continued his season-high 12-game point streak Wednesday night with a goal in Rockford’s 4-3 loss to Chicago. Since Jan. 28, Taffe has complied 7g-10a-17pts.
