REMINDER: ST. PIERRE TO SHAVE HIS HEAD FOR LOCKS OF LOVE
Fans who participate will receive a free ticket and hat
Rockford, Ill.-Rockford IceHogs team captain Martin St. Pierre is teaming up with Locks of Love this weekend and is shaving his head for the charity following Saturday’s game against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:05 p.m.
St. Pierre will have his head shaved by a stylist from Great Clips in the upper concourse of the BMO Harris Bank Center, across from Oink Outfitters in front of the Rockford Register Star “Stars of Tomorrow Wall.”
IceHogs fans will also have an opportunity to donate to Locks of Love, as Great Clips will be cutting hair at the IceHogs game on Saturday, collecting the hair and donating it to charity. Every fan that shaves their head will also receive a free ticket to the IceHogs game on Jan. 9. Women can receive a free ticket and hat by clipping a portion of their hair. The hair cuts will be available until the end of the second intermission.
This isn’t the first time that St. Pierre has donated his hair to charity. While skating with the Ontario Hockey League’s Guelph Storm from 2002 to 2004, St. Pierre cut his hair and donated it to charity so the mother and son of his billet family could have wigs.
