Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud members of the American Hockey League, are hosting a game-worn jersey raffle during Friday’s game when they take on Chris Chelios and the Chicago Wolves. It is Chelios’ first time on the ice at the Rockford MetroCentre. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
For the first time the IceHogs will wear green jerseys presented by No Idle Zone. The first 2,000 fans through the doors will receive a green IceHogs t-shirt. The game marks the second of four “Go Green” nights this season. The event is also sponsored by Bergstrom Industries, Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, Magnum Creative, and The Morrissey Family Business.
Fans can buy a raffle ticket for $5 or five tickets for $20 during the game for a chance to win a green jersey worn that night by a Hog. Tickets will be sold at the No Idle Zone table in the upper concourse and will be available up until the end of the second intermission. Winners will be announced during the third period.
The remaining “Go Green”-themed nights are:
Saturday, Jan. 2 – Go Green T-shirt
Monday, Feb. 15 – Go Green Goalie Replica Mask giveaway
