Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs announced today that they have signed forward Roy Radke to an amateur tryout contract (ATO).
Radke, 20, recently finished his third season in the Onatrio Hockey League with the Barrie Colts, where he posted 23g-13a-36pts in 45 games in 2016-17. He concluded the season ranked first on the team in goals and fourth in total points, while his 23 goals also established a career-high mark through his three seasons with the club.
The Chicago, Ill. native concluded his OHL tenure with 51g-42a-93pts in 175 regular season games with the Colts. Radke also scored four goals in 24 postseason contests after helping lead Barrie to a first-place finish in the Eastern Conference during the regular season in both 2014-15 and 2015-16.
Radke was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the sixth round (No. 164 overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
