Prospect Pirri Earns ECAC Honors

2009 2nd round pick Brandon Pirri has been named ECAC Hockey’s Rookie of the Week (ending Oct. 25). Pirri, a forward for Rensselaer Polytechnic Intstitute (RPI), picked up four points and helped his team to a 2-0 record.
The Toronto, Ontario native recorded two goals, including the game-winner in overtime against Sacred Heart on Friday, October 23. Following Friday’s win, Pirri tallied two assists during RPI’s 3-2 win over American International Saturday.
Pirri is currently tied with Tyler Helfrich for the RPI team lead in points with six, recording three goals and three assists with the Engineers so far this season.
