Rockford, Ill. – With the Rockford IceHogs right in the middle of a tightly packed Western Conference playoff race, Hogs fans will be treated to two key hockey games this weekend at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

With their 4-1 win on Wednesday, the IceHogs moved into a three-way tie for seventh place (with 71 points) in the Western Conference with the Milwaukee Admirals and Chicago Wolves. On Friday, the Hogs will look to move ahead of the Admirals as they duel at 7:05 p.m. at the BMO. It’s the ninth of 12 meetings between the two squads and the IceHogs show a 4-3-1-0 record in the season series with the Admirals.

On Saturday, the IceHogs faceoff against the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:05 p.m. in another critical matchup. Heading into the weekend the Barons are just one point back (70) of the IceHogs and currently sit in 10th place.

The first 1,500 fans through the gates on Saturday will pick up an IceHogs gym bag compliments of Peak Sports Club.

The action doesn’t end on the weekend though. The IceHogs host the Admirals again on Tuesday, Apr. 7 at 7:05 p.m. in the team’s last WXRX dollar day at the BMO and last weekday home game of the regular season. Fans can purchase sodas, hot dogs, beers and companion tickets for just one dollar each on Tuesday.

Also, in reference to Forbes Magazine tagging Rockford as the third most “Miserable City,” Tuesday’s game has been coined “Misery Never Thrilled So Many Fans Night.” Tickets for the game are just $3 (excluding lower sidelines and VIP seats) and the first 1,500 fans into the building will receive a T-shirt.

Local museums, parks, restaurants and recreation facilities including Discovery Center Museum, Paddle & Trail Adventure Center, Midway Village Museum, the Rockford Park District and many others will be on hand throughout the game offering a variety of special promotions, giveaways and contests.

Tickets to any of the remaining IceHogs games can be purchased by calling (815) 968-5222, visiting IceHogs.com or stopping by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

Next Home Game: Friday, March 29 vs. Milwaukee Admirals at 7:05 p.m. The Midwest Division showdown between the IceHogs and Admirals is the ninth meeting between the two teams on the campaign, with each squad holding a 4-3-1-0 record in the season series.
