PIRRI NAMED TO AHL ALL-STAR ROSTER

Rockford, Ill. – The American Hockey League has announced the 20 players that have been named to the 2014 AHL All-Star roster and the list includes Rockford IceHogs center Brandon Pirri. The AHL All-Star game will be February 11-12 at the Mile One Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland against the Swedish Hockey League’s Färjestad BK.

The IceHogs centerman is making his second appearance on an AHL All-Star roster, as he was named to the 2012 All-Star team. The Toronto, Ontario native has played in 13 games for the IceHogs and has 3g-7a-10pts so far this season. After starting the season with Rockford, Pirri was recalled by the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL) and played 24 games, registering 6g-5a-11pts before being returned on loan to Rockford on Dec. 3.

In his fourth season with the IceHogs, Pirri is the franchise’s all-time leading point scorer (184) as well as the leader in assists (124).
