PHILLIP DANAULT RECALLED BY BLACKHAWKS

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled forward Phillip Danault (FILL-up da-NOH) from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Danault, 21, has 10 points (3g, 7a) in 14 games with Rockford this season. The Victoriaville, Quebec, native registered a season-high three points (1g, 2a) on Oct. 31 at San Antonio. He has compiled 38 professional points (9g, 27a) in 98 career games over portions of four seasons, all with the IceHogs. Danault was one of Chicago’s first-round selections (26th overall) in the 2011 National Hockey League Draft.

Previously, Danault amassed 251 points (74 g, 177 a) in 243 career games over four seasons with the Victoriaville Tigres and Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. He earned the Guy Cabonneau Trophy, awarded annually to the best defensive forward in the QMJHL, following the 2010-11 season. Danault also represented Canada at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia.

Additionally, the Blackhawks have placed forward Patrick Sharp on long-term injured reserve (LTIR). Sharp has three goals and six assists in 13 games with Chicago this season. The Thunder Bay, Ontario, native led the Blackhawks with 78 points (34g, 44a) last season.

Next Home Game: Friday, Nov. 21 vs. Iowa Wild. Game begins at 7 p.m. The IceHogs second meeting with the Wild kicks off with another Blues Flame Lounge Pre-Game Party at the BMO.
