Noel Reassigned to Rockford
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks today reassigned forward Nathan Noel from the ECHL's Indy Fuel to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Noel, 22, opened the 2019-20 season with the Fuel, logging a career-high 12 points (4g, 8a) and 24 penalty minutes in 24 ECHL games. He currently leads all team forwards in penalty minutes and has picked up two points (1g, 1a) over his last three contests. The winger has also posted a pair of multi-point efforts with Indy, notching a goal and an assist Oct. 25 vs. Cincinnati and two helpers on Nov. 30 at Worcester.
The St. John’s Newfoundland native was originally selected by Chicago in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He made both his ECHL and AHL debut during the 2017-18 season and has since tallied 23 points (8g, 15a) in 45 career ECHL games with Indy and seven points (3g, 4a) in 63 career AHL contests with Rockford.
