ROCKFORD, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs today announced that the Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Nathan Noel from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel to the IceHogs.
Noel, 20, was originally reassigned from Rockford to the Fuel on Nov. 9 and has notched nine points (4g, 5a) in 17 ECHL games this season. He has posted three multi-point efforts on the year, including notching a goal and an assist in back-to-back games on Dec. 8 vs. Wheeling and Dec. 9 vs. Wichita.
The St. John’s, Newfoundland native was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He has skated with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League during each of the last four seasons and helped lead the team to a league championship with 50 points (24g, 26a) in 52 games in 2016-17.
