ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs returned D Robin Press on loan to the ECHL’s Indy Fuel. The Chicago Blackhawks have also reassigned F Nathan Noel from Rockford to Indy.
Press, 22, has spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the Fuel, collecting three assists and a +1 rating in six games with the IceHogs’ ECHL affiliate. He has totaled three shots in two games with the IceHogs this season. The Uppsala, Sweden native now returns to Indy where he is currently tied for first among team defenseman with his three total points on the year.
Noel, 20, has yet to suit up for the IceHogs. He recorded 50 points (24g, 26a) in 52 regular-season games with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2016-17. The forward finished fifth on the team in goals and sixth in total points for the regular season before adding 2g-7a-9ts in 18 postseason contests for the league-champion Sea Dogs.
