MULLANE AND SHALUNOV BACK FROM TOLEDO

Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs, American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have recalled forwards Pat Mullane and Maxim Shalunov from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.

Mullane, 23, has registered five assists in 24 contests for the IceHogs this season. The 23 year-old has two goals and an assist in five outings with the Walleye.

The rookie forward is playing in his first professional campaign after spending four years at Boston College. The Wallingford, Conn., native posted 42 goals and 98 assists over his four year career with the Eagles.

Shalunov, 20, has appeared in 18 games for Rockford, dishing out four assists. In two tilts with Toledo this season, Shalunov has two goals in five games with the Walleye..

The Chelyabinsk, Russia native spent the majority of the 2012-13 season with Chelmet Chelyabinsk in the VHL, recording nine points (2g-7a) in 19 games.

Shalunov was drafted by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (#109 overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
