ROCKFORD, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs today announced they have reassigned forwards Dylan McLaughlin and Mathew Thompson to their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.
McLaughlin, 24, was recalled from the Fuel on Dec. 7 and appeared in two contests with the IceHogs. He skated to an even plus/minus rating during both the IceHogs’ overtime win against Milwaukee on Dec. 10 and shootout win at Laval on Dec. 17. Overall, the Lancaster, New York native has now combined for two assists in 13 AHL games with Rockford over the last two seasons.
Thompson, 26, was also recalled alongside McLaughlin on Dec. 7 and skated in four contests with Rockford. He made his AHL debut at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Dec. 7 against Milwaukee and posted a +1 plus/minus rating at Belleville on Dec. 13. The Alliston, Ontario native returns to the Fuel, where he has notched 13 points (7g, 6a) in 21 games this season.
