MATTSON RECALLED TO ROCKFORD
Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced that they have recalled defenseman Nick Mattson from their ECHL affiiate, the Indy Fuel.
Mattson, 24, shows two points in six games with the IceHogs this season. The 24 year-old also has one goal and 14 assists in 48 contests with the Fuel.
The Chanhassen, Minn. native advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four with the University of North Dakota in both the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, and totaled 17 goals and 61 assists in 153 career games with UND over four seasons.
Mattson was drafted in the sixth round (#180 overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
