LOS ICEHOGS DOS HIGHLIGHTS BIG WEEKEND AT THE BMO

Rockford, Ill.- The BMO Harris Bank Center is going to have a different feel for the Rockford IceHogs games this weekend. On Friday, the team is hosting Los IceHogs Dos night, and Saturday the team will honor all active and retired military members by giving them a free ticket with valid military I.D.

The Hogs hit the ice at 7 p.m. on Friday to battle the Iowa Wild for the first meeting ever between the two teams. The IceHogs will wear special Los IceHogs Dos jerseys during the game on Friday. The specialty sweaters will be raffled off at future IceHogs games throughout the 2013-14 season. Following the event, four of the game-worn uniforms will also be put up for auction on the IceHogs eBay store, with the proceeds being donated to La Voz Latina, an organization dedicated to serving the Rockford region’s Hispanic community through education, workshops and youth programming.

Returning for the second time, Banda Aires de Guanajuato, a local band will entertain fans throughout the night. Also throughout the game on Friday, goals and penalties will be read in Spanish, in addition to Public Address Announcer Chris Toltzman’s announcements of the game.

On Saturday, Nov. 9th, in honor of Veterans Day, the IceHogs are proud to offer free tickets to all veterans and active military personnel. All active military and veterans will be provided with a complimentary ticket to the game, and family members will receive a group discount on tickets. The first 2,500 fans into the building on Saturday night will receive an IceHogs whoopee Cushion courtesy of Ferrellgas.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Nov. 16 vs. San Antonio Rampage. The puck drops at 7 p.m.  It’s hat giveaway night at the BMO Harris Bank Center as the first 2,500 fans in the doors will receive a Dri-Fit, baseball hat courtesy of Pepsi.
