Rockford, Ill. – With warm weather on the slate for this Memorial Day weekend, Hammy Hog will be out and about in Rockford participating in two parades over the next few days.

The IceHogs mascot kicks off the holiday weekend with the Young at Heart parade in Loves Park on Saturday. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and runs North on N. 2nd Street beginning at Woodward Governor (Beacon Street). The Young at Heart festival, starting Friday at 6 p.m., will have plenty of family activities, games, and live music all weekend long.

The busy weekend carries over to Monday for Hammy as he joins in on Pecatonica’s annual Memorial Day Parade. The free event starts at 2 p.m. from historic downtown Pecatonica.

The IceHogs business office and the BMO Harris Bank Center will be closed on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day. The Hogs front office will re-open on Tuesday, May 27 and the Box Office will resume normal business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
