Chris Toltzman has served as PA for IceHogs since inaugural game
Rockford, Ill.-- The Rockford IceHogs, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and members of the American Hockey League, announced on Tuesday that long-time Public Address Announcer Chris Toltzman is stepping down from his position with the team.
After 12 years with the team, Toltzman announced his final game on Sunday, Oct. 10, saying he needs to focus more time on his growing video production company. Toltzman has served as the team’s public address announcer since 1999, missing only one game due to a prior commitment and half of a game due to illness.
The IceHogs return to action on Friday at 7:05 p.m. The Abbotsford Heat come to town for their first visit to Rockford in 2010-11. The first 1,000 fans into the building will pick up an IceHogs posters courtesy of Comcast, Q98.5 and Medicine Man.
Then on Saturday, the Chicago Wolves head west for their first of five games at the Rockford MetroCentre. The first 5,000 fans will pick up a refrigerator schedule courtesy of Mygofer.com.
