Lombardi and Flores Push the IceHogs Past the Griffins 4-1

Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs rolled through the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday afternoon 4-1 inside the BMO Center.
It took only 14 seconds for the IceHogs to earn a lead when Kevin Lombardi deflected in Jamie Engelbert's shot from just outside the crease.
Lombardi went back for more halfway through the 1st period and pushed the score to 2-0 banging in a rebound past the Griffins' Michal Postava.
In the 2nd period, Samuel Savoie teed up Joey Anderson in the slot and the veteran forward went glove-side for the 3-0 advantage.
The Griffins got on the board at 13:38 of the middle frame to cut into the Rockford lead. Eduards Tralmaks snapped his shot off the post past Owen Flores.
In the 3rd period, Flores continued to shine and finished with 31 stops. Engelbert picked up the empty-net goal in the final minutes for the 4-1 final.
