Lardis Propels Hogs to 3-2 Win in Milwaukee

Milwaukee, WI - The Rockford IceHogs took down the Milwaukee Admirals 3-2 on Sunday afternoon inside Panther Arena.
The Admirals broke through early at 3:11 of the 1st period. Andrew Gibson blasted home his first of the season from the right wing past Drew Commesso.
Milwaukee took back-to-back penalties in the 2nd period, giving Rockford almost a full minute of 5-on-3 time. The Admirals' Magnus Chrona stood tall though with the Milwaukee kill to keep the score 1-0.
Rockford pulled even at 16:03 of the middle frame after a net front scramble. Joey Anderson located the loose puck and slid home his 4th goal of the year.
The Hogs started the 3rd period on a four minute power play. On the ensuing man-advantage, Nick Lardis was teed up for a one-time blast from the bottom of the far circle. The rookie gave the Hogs a 2-1 lead with his 10th of the season.
Lardis scored his second of the period after stealing the puck at the defensive blue line. He went in on breakaway and sniped in a Rockford insurance goal.
Ryan Ufko brought the Admirals back to down 3-2 with the Milwaukee net empty. Commesso protected the crease in the final minutes and made 25 saves in the win.
