ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks today announced they have reassigned goaltender Kevin Lankinen to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Lankinen was recalled on an emergency basis Monday but did not appear in a game with Chicago.
The Helsinki, Finland native returns to Rockford with a 5-2-1 record, 2.48 GAA and .924 save percentage over eight AHL contests this season. He has helped the IceHogs to points in six of his last seven games and has only once allowed more than three goals thus far on the campaign.
