JARDINE REASSIGNED TO INDY
IceHogs defenseman returns to ECHL affiliate
Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs announced Sunday they have reassigned defenseman Sam Jardine to their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.
Jardine, 22, has appeared in three games with the IceHogs since being recalled from Indy on Oct. 19, earning five penalty minutes with his first professional fighting major in his first AHL game on Oct. 20. The Lacombe, Alta. native recorded his first career professional point with an assist in his debut with Indy on Oct. 16 against Toledo. The rookie d-man has appeared in two games thus far with the Fuel.
Prior to turning pro, Jardine spent his last three seasons with Ohio State University. He skated in 97 games with the Buckeyes, recording a total of 32 points (3g-29a).
Next Home Game: Sunday, Nov. 22 vs. Lake Erie at 4 p.m. The IceHogs face Lake Erie for the first time all season on Stanley Cup Night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Rockford will celebrate its alumni and the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks by displaying the Cup for fans in attendance. Hub Printing will give away 2,500 posters celebrating the Blackhawks championships.
