IceHogs' Win Streak Comes to an End at Hands of the Griffins

Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs fell short on Wednesday against the Grand Rapids Griffins, losing 5-0 inside the BMO Center.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Griffins got on the board at 14:06 of the 2nd period. During a long Griffins' shift, Eduards Tralmaks found a soft spot at the near circle. The GR forward pulled the trigger and beat Drew Commesso past the blocker for a 1-0 lead.
Five minutes into the 3rd period, Tralmaks went back to work scoring his second of the night. The lefty fired from the near dot to the short side for the 2-0 tally.
On a power play with seven minutes to play, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard found the puck straight off the faceoff and gave GR a 3-0 lead with a finish upstairs.
The Griffins added two more goals in the final minutes of regulation off the sticks of Wojciech Stachowiak and Amadeus Lombardi.
Up next, the IceHogs head back to Iowa to take on the Wild. The puck drops from the Casey's Center on Friday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m.
