ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League, will re-broadcast their 2019 Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 12:00 p.m. in support of Stick It To Cancer, a local non-profit founded by James Robbins Goaltending as a way to raise awareness of childhood cancers in the hockey community.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Stick It To Cancer is hosting a virtual event through their Facebook page that will feature a silent auction, #GoGold Challenge and merchandise sale and the IceHogs are showcasing their support with a special edition of IceHogs Rewind, the re-broadcast of their 4-2 win over the Chicago Wolves during the 2019 Hockey Fights Cancer Night at BMO Harris Bank Center back on Nov. 29, 2019. Fans can watch the game “LIVE” on the team’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Inspired by his six-year-old niece, Emma, James Robbins founded Stick It to Cancer when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and received treatment at Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. While receiving treatment, Emma's parents had the pleasure of meeting another brave Emma, "Baby Emma,” who was battling, and sadly passed away from, a rare form of pediatric brain cancer. All of the processes from Stick It To Cancer are dedicated to raising funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Program at Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
