ICEHOGS TO MEET MILWAUKEE ADMIRALS IN FIRST ROUND OF CALDER CUP PLAYOFFS
Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, have announced the schedule of their first round series of the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs against the Milwaukee Admirals.
The IceHogs make their second-straight trip to the post season and fifth overall during the AHL era. Rockford finished fourth in the Central Division while Milwaukee took the division title to earn the number one seed.
The first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs is a best-of-five series. As the first seed, the Admirals will have home ice advantage. Rockford has posted a 5-2-2-2 record against Milwaukee this year. The series marks the second time the two squads have met in the postseason, as Milwaukee swept Rockford in the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Individual game tickets for the first round start as low as $17. Fans can also purchase a "Playoff Pass" which is a ticket to each and every home postseason game during the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs.
Season ticket holders will receive tickets for Games 3 and 4, labeled “Game A” and “Game B”, free of charge as part of their package. The two complimentary tickets can be used for the first round only.
The games will be broadcast on WIFR’s “Justice Network” on 23.3, as well as Comcast Cable channel 434, Charter Cable channel 194 or Mediacom Channel 102 in the Rockford market, beginning with “IceHogs Warm-Up” at 6:30 p.m. with Bob Mills and Kyle Stuetzel, and online through AHLLive.com.
