ICEHOGS SIGN DAHLSTROM AND NORELL
Rockford, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs announced Thursday that they have signed two defensemen, Carl Dahlstrom and Robin Norell, to amateur tryout contracts (ATO).
Dahlstrom, 20, joins the IceHogs after completing his second season with Linkoping HC in the Swedish Hockey League. The blueliner registered six points (3g-3a) in 55 regular season games and an assist in 11 postseason tilts.
The native of Stockholm, Sweden was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round (#51 overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Norell, 20, recorded three goals and six assists in 48 contests with Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Hockey League. The Blackhawks fourth round selection (#111 overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft won a silver medal with Sweden at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Malmö, Sweden.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, April 15 vs. Charlotte Checkers. The IceHogs begin a three-game homestand to close out their regular season schedule when they host Charlotte at the BMO.
