Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League open up training camp in preparation for their 13th season of professional hockey and fifth as the top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
The first practice will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 25.
The IceHogs will play three preseason games leading up to the regular season opener on Saturday, Oct. 8. The Hogs will host the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday, Sept 28 at Carlson Ice Arena, travel to Milwaukee on Friday, Sept. 30 and close out the preseason against Peoria on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
Admission to the game at Carlson Ice Arena is free and seats are first-come, first-serve. Fans can get a sneak peak of the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday along with free entry to the IceHogs-Rivermen game courtesy of BMO Harris Bank. All practices at the BMO Harris Bank Center are not open to the public.

The IceHogs open their fifth season in the AHL when they welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins to the BMO Harris Bank Center. The puck drops are 7:05 p.m. and everyone in attendance will get an IceHogs Magnet Schedule courtesy of BMO Harris Bank.
