ICEHOGS SEND JARDINE TO INDY
Rockford, Ill.- The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs announced that they have reassigned defenseman Sam Jardine to the Indy Fuel (ECHL).
Jardine, 22, has notched a goal and two assists in 30 games for the Fuel this season. The Lacombe, Alberta native has appeared in six games with the IceHogs this season after making his AHL debut on Oct. 30 against the Iowa Wild.
The rookie previously played for the Ohio State University Buckeyes from 2012-15 where he totaled 32 points (3g-29a) in 97 career games.
Jardine was drafted by the Blackhawks in the sixth round (#169 overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, Feb. 17 vs. Manitoba Moose at 10:30 a.m. The IceHogs welcome the Moose to the BMO Harris Bank Center for the annual “School Day Game” in the first of four meetings on the season. Rockford is 7-8-1-0 all-time versus Manitoba.
