Winger has appeared in 14 games with the IceHogs in 2009-10
Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Monday that the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League has recalled right wing Derek Nesbitt from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
Nesbitt, 27, has appeared in 36 games with Toledo, notching 11 goals and 22 assists and 15 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 14 games with Rockford, recording one goal and one assist and 6 PIMs. The Egmondville, Ontario native started the season in Rockford and is making his third appearance on the IceHogs’ roster in 2009-10.
In 114 career AHL games between Rockford, San Antonio and Manitoba, the winger has 24 goals and 36 assists for 56 points.
