Rockford, Ill - The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have recalled forward Paul Zanette from loan to the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
Zanette, 23, appeared in three preseason games with the IceHogs before being loaned to the Walleye. In 13 games with Toledo this season, he has 3g-3a-6pts. Zanette missed 23 games due to an injury.
The Nobleton, Ontario native made his AHL debut in 2010-11 with the Hamilton Bulldogs, tallying one goal in seven regular season contests and two goals in 11 playoff tilts.
Before joining Hamilton, Zanette completed his senior season at Niagara University, notching 55 points (29g-26a) in 35 games. In four seasons with Niagara, Zanette played in 128 games, earning 53g-52a-105pts. He was also a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist last season.
