IceHogs Recall Forwards McLaughlin & Thompson, Defenseman Osipov

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs today announced they have recalled forwards Dylan McLaughlin and Mathew Thompson and defenseman Dmitry Osipov from their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.

McLaughlin, 24, skated in four AHL games with the IceHogs to open the season before being reassigned to the Fuel on Nov. 12. The Lancaster, New York native made his Indy debut the following night and has since tallied points in eight of 12 ECHL games, including four multi-point efforts. He has points in each of his last five games, goals in three consecutive contests and currently ranks fourth on the team in overall scoring with 13 points (7g, 6a) over his 12 total appearances.

Thompson, 26, is in his third season with the Fuel and second full campaign following a 50-point year in 65 games in 2018-19. The Bolton, Ontario native is one of only three players to appear in each of Indy’s 21 games this season and has logged 13 points (7g, 6a) on the year. He currently leads the team with his +8 plus/minus rating, ranks first with four power-play goals and shares the team lead with McLaughlin in total goals.

Osipov, 23, has appeared in just eight games with Fuel in 2019-20, notching one goal, three assists and 22 shots on goal. The Moskva, Russia native made his season debut on Nov. 20 at Jacksonville before posting a career-high three-point effort with one goal and two assists on Nov. 29 at Maine. Overall, the blueliner has fired three or more shots on goal in six of his eight games with Indy this season.
