ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford IceHogs today recalled goaltender Collin Delia from their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.
Delia, 23, made 38 saves and led the Fuel to a 3-1 win during Indy’s first preseason game against Fort Wayne on Friday (Oct. 6). The netminder allowed just one goal and helped kill off two power plays in his first action at the ECHL level.
Last year, the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. native was named a Hockey East Third Team All-Star after ranking 14th in the nation with a 2.15 goals against average and ninth with a .927 save percentage for Merrimack College. He also notched a career-high nine victories during the campaign, and was tabbed the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for January.
