The Roscoe, Illinois native made his AHL debut with the IceHogs this season and has skated in two contests with Rockford. He debuted with the team on Nov. 4 at Iowa, tallying two penalty minutes in the contest, and fired one shot on goal the following game on Nov. 7 against the Wild.

Last year, McArdle completed his senior year at Brown University, where he scored two goals with four assists in 31 games as captain of the Bears.
