ICEHOGS REASSIGN WALTERS TO TOLEDO, PAILLE RETURNS

Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced Saturday that they have reassigned forward Dane Walters to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL). Additionally, Daniel Paille has rejoined the IceHogs after helping Team Canada claim the 2015 Spengler Cup.

Walters, 26, shows one goal in 14 games with the IceHogs this season. The St. Paul, Minn. native has registered two assists in six contests with the Walleye.

Last season, Walters notched one goal and five assists in 19 games with Rockford. Prior to joining the IceHogs in 2014-15, the winger tallied 17 points (9g-8a) in 27 games with the Walleye.

Paille, 31, was held scoreless in four Spengler Cup games. In 25 games with Rockford this season, Paille has registered one goal and two assists.

The Welland, Ontario native has appeared in 570 career NHL games with the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres, totaling 172 points (85g-87a). He captured the Stanley Cup as a member of the Bruins in 2011 and advanced to the Stanley Cup Final in 2013 before Boston fell to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Next Home Game: Jan. 3 vs. Milwaukee Admirals at 4 pm. The first 2,500 in the gates will receive a pack of Rockford IceHogs trading cards compliments of the Rockford Register Star. After the game, the team will host a postgame skate where fans can skate with their favorite IceHogs on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice. Skates will not be provided.
