ICEHOGS REASSIGN HUTTON TO TOLEDO

Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs have reassigned goalie Carter Hutton to the Toledo Walleye (ECHL). Hutton backed up IceHogs goalie Alec Richards in both contests in Abbotsford over the weekend.

Hutton, 26, appeared in 22 games for the Worcester Sharks (AHL) in 2010-11, posting an 11-7-2 record with a goals-against average of 3.01 and a save percentage of .902 with two shutouts.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario native also backed up in San Jose with the Sharks for 13 games last season. Combined with a short stint with the Adirondack Phantoms (AHL) in 2009-10, the 6-1, 184-pound goaltender has compiled a 12-9-3 record at the pro level with a 2.96 GAA and a .912 SPCT.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 22 vs. Chicago Wolves. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs welcome the Chicago Wolves to the BMO Harris Bank Center for the second of 12 meetings.
