ICEHOGS OFFSEASON PLAYER TRACKER
The 2014 offseason is heading down the home stretch and the new campaign for the Rockford IceHogs is quickly approaching. Training camp is just over a month away and it’s time to check in on members from the 2013-14 IceHogs squad and see who has signed where.
This list includes every player who appeared in a game for the IceHogs last year. There were 43 different skaters who suited up and played for Rockford in ’13-14 and of those, 19 are currently under contract with either the IceHogs or Chicago Blackhawks.
There are nine former IceHogs who currently are free agents and have not signed on elsewhere, not including winger Philippe Lefebvre, who elected to enroll at the University of Quebec –Tras Rivieres and will sit out a season before becoming eligible in 2015-16.
Interestingly, of the five players who for the most part represented Rockford as team captains, just one (Klas Dahlbeck) is under contract for the new season. Wade Brookbank, Brad Mills, Jared Nightingale and Brad Winchester are all free agents.
