Rockford readies for division rivals

Postseason Week 2 Recap
The Rockford IceHogs completed a three-game road sweep in Houston against the Aeros during Week 2 of the 2008 Calder Cup Postseason and finished off Houston in the West Division Semifinals 4-1. After their first round win, the IceHogs continue the postseason against the Chicago Wolves beginning on Thursday.

Hot Hog Postseason Week 2:
Forward Kris Versteeg had a goal in all three games for the IceHogs in Week Two of the Postseason. Versteeg leads the IceHogs in goals and is tied for the club lead in points and plus/minus rating after the first round of the postseason.

Upcoming Games:
Thursday, May 1 at Chicago Wolves. (Game One) Game time is 7 p.m. The IceHogs and Wolves renew their rivalry playoff style. It’s Game One of the West Division Finals at the Allstate Arena. The series is best-of-seven and one team will get a leg up as they battle for a trip to the Western Conference Finals.

Saturday, May 3 at Chicago Wolves. (GameTwo) The puck drops at 7 p.m. A crucial Game Two of the West Division Finals commences at the Allstate Arena on Saturday. One team will try to even the series at a game apiece while the other will look for a 2-0 series lead before heading to Rockford.

Sunday, May 4 vs. Chicago Wolves. (Game Three) The game starts at 4:05 p.m. The West Division Finals swing into Rockford with Game Three. The game is the first of two straight at the MetroCentre in the best-of-seven series.
