ICEHOGS LOAN GLEASON TO TOLEDO
Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs have loaned defensemen Joe Gleason to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL.
The first-year defensemen played in seven games with Rockford this season, putting up one point coming from an assist on Oct. 31 2013 vs. Charlotte.
Last season, the Edina, Minn. native ranked second in points among UND defensemen with 18 (5g-13a). In 143 career games with the University of North Dakota (NCAA), Gleason put up 6g-40a-46pts in four seasons.
Gleason, 23, was the Chicago Blackhawks seventh round selection (#192 overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft pick.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Nov. 16 vs. San Antonio Rampage. The puck drops at 7 p.m. and the first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a Dri-fit baseball hat courtesy of Pepsi.
