IceHogs Community Fund Awards $20,000 Grant to Rockford Area Arts Council

ICEHOGS LAUNCH �IT�S YOUR GAME� CAMPAIGN
Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs announced on Thursday that the team is launching a new marketing campaign. The “It’s Your Game” theme will focus on fan interaction and fan experiences at the arena and in the community.
“The premise of ‘It’s Your Game’ starts with our great fans here in Rockford. We enjoy hearing from our fans - young or old, new or diehard - why they love coming to IceHogs games,” said IceHogs Director of Business Operations Mike Peck. “We look forward to telling the fans’ stories through this campaign while finding unique ways to tie in the team and special fan experiences.”
As the IceHogs enter their 10th season in the American Hockey League and 18th season of action in Rockford, the team is celebrating the support of IceHogs fans and the Rockford community. Last season was the first time the IceHogs surpassed an average of 5,000 fans per game, and also set a new record with 190,492 in overall attendance.
During the upcoming season, new fan experiences will become available during IceHogs games. The IceHogs will also be highlighting the commitment of numerous fans by offering exclusive special team interactions. The “It’s Your Game” campaign will be featured on promotional materials and incorporated into radio, television and print ads, as well as on icehogs.com.
The new logo features the words “It’s Your Game” written in black, white, and red font above the iconic black, white and red piping found on IceHogs and Chicago Blackhawks jerseys.
“It’s Your Game” replaces “It All Starts Here” which was adopted before the 2012-13 season and was used for each of the last four years. The campaign highlighted the 88 players that started in Rockford before moving up to the NHL, 66 of whom have played for the Blackhawks. 22 former IceHogs have won at least one Stanley Cup Championship with Chicago.
