ICEHOGS HOSTING PLAYOFF WATCH PARTIES AT THE BMO
Free road watch party at the BMO Friday and Saturday
Rockford, Ill. – When the Rockford IceHogs are on the road this postseason, fans can catch all the action just as they would when the team plays at home – cheering on the IceHogs at the BMO Harris Bank Center with their fellow diehard fans.
The team announced on Wednesday that they will host road watch parties at the BMO, in the Blue Flame Lounge on the concourse, for each road contest throughout Rockford’s 2015 Calder Cup Playoff run. Admission to the watch party is free for all ages.
The first road watch party at the BMO Harris Bank Center will be for the Western Conference Quarterfinals (Round 1) in Texas starting with Game 1 on Friday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Game 2 on Saturday, April 25 at 7 p.m. The doors to the arena will open 30 minutes prior to puck drop.
Each night all fans that attend will be eligible for a chance to take home a game-worn jersey (Kyle Cumiskey or Cody Bass) in a random door prize drawing.
Each party will feature an IceHogs first goal pool for a chance to win autographed memorabilia. Fans can submit who they think will score first for the IceHogs and one random correct guess will win autographed gear courtesy of the goal scorer. Entry forms for the goal pool must be turned in prior to the start of each game to be eligible.
The Blue Flame Lounge will be open with food and drink specials throughout the game, including $4 16-ounce beers. A kiosk with merchandise from the team store, Oink Outfitters, will also available for fans to gear up for the postseason.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, April 29, Western Conference Quarterfinals - Game 3, vs. Texas Stars. Face-off is at 7 p.m. The IceHogs will play their first Calder Cup Playoff game in the Forest City since 2010 when the opening round series shifts to Rockford for Game 3. The first 1,500 fans will receive a free cowbell courtesy of BMO Harris Bank. The festivities begin prior to puck drop during a Pregame Block Party, sponsored by Swedish American Hospital.
