Milwaukee, WI - The Rockford IceHogs dropped a 2-1 contest in overtime Friday night against the Milwaukee Admirals inside Panther Arena.
Despite no scoring in the 1st period, the Ads and Hogs combined for 46 penalty minutes in the opening 20 minutes. Connor Mylmok dropped the gloves with Kevin Gravel and took down the Milwaukee captain with decisive decision.
Just 1:11 into the 2nd period and while on the man-advantage, defenseman Ethan Del Mastro led a solo rush down the wing and beat Matt Murray in between the legs.
The Admirals responded midway through the period with a goal from the back end as well. Jordan Osterle snuck a wrist shot through Drew Commesso to tie the game at 1-1.
Three more fights in the 2nd period, brought the combined penalty minutes up over 100 with Jamie Engelbert, Andrew Perrott and Mylmok again all dropping mitts.
After a scoreless 3rd period, Daniel Carr connected off a rebound in overtime to give Milwaukee the extra point and the 2-1 win.
Rockford is back at home inside the BMO Center on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. to host the Admirals on "Back to the Future Night." Tickets are still available at icehogs.com.
