Cedar Park, TX - The Rockford IceHogs concluded their season with a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Texas Stars inside the HEB Center.
The Stars struck first while skating on a four-minute power play six minutes into the game. Antonio Stranges beat Stanislav Berezhnoy with a shot through screens in front.
Rockford pulled even 1-1 later in the frame when Samuel Savoie scored right off an IceHogs' faceoff win.
In the 2nd period, Harrison Scott stormed down the near wing in transition and went upstairs with a snapshot for the go-ahead 2-1 goal.
Eight minutes into the final period, Dylan Hyrckowian finished off a rebound on a 2-on-1 rush for an insurance tally. Defensemen Luke Krys and Tristan Bertucci added late goals to balloon the lead to 5-1.
