Week 5 Recap:
In their only game of the week, the Rockford IceHogs met the Charlotte Checkers at the BMO Harris Bank Center for the first ever contest between the new divisional foes. But the Checkers outplayed the IceHogs, skating away with the 4-2 victory in the first of eight games between the two squads this season. Week 6 features three games, including a home tilt with Peoria and an alumni game on Saturday.

Brandon Pirri Center
Rockford’s second-year center Brandon Pirri tallied a goal on Sunday to extend his point streak to four-straight games, matching an IceHogs season high. During his streak, Pirri has a goal and four assists. On the season, the pivot man has 3g-5a-8pts, tied for second most on the IceHogs.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesady, Nov. 9 at Grand Rapids: The puck gets on the ice at 11 a.m. as the iceHogs travel to Grand Rapids for a morning contest with the Griffins. Wednesday’s tilt will be the second of four matchups between the two teams this season, with Rockford defeating Grand Rapids at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Oct. 8 to open the season.
Friday, Nov. 11 at Peoria: Game time is 7 p.m. at Carver Arena as the Rockford IceHogs travel to Peoria to take on the Rivermen in an Illinois Lottery Cup tilt. It will be Rockford’s third game in Peoria on the season and fourth overall against the Rivermen. Rockford holds a 2-1-0-0 advantage so far in the 12-game season series.
Saturday, Nov. 12 vs. Peoria: The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. for another Illinois Lottery Cup tilt with the Peoria Rivermen. Saturday is also Heritage Night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Prior to the IceHogs contest, an alumni game will pit IceHogs Alumni against Blackhawks Alumni at 4 p.m. Special throwback jerseys will be worn by the current IceHogs and alumni and
auctioned off following the game.
Bud Light Hog Talk Makes A Comeback:
Bud Light Hog Talk returns to Granite City Food and Brewery for its weekly appearance at 6 p.m. tonight. Granite City is located at 7140 Harrison Ave. next to CherryVale Mall. Fans can join Mike Peck from 6-7 p.m. as he chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. Tonight, Peck will be joined by IceHogs Head Coach Ted Dent and forwards Ben Smith and Andrew Shaw. Take advantage of food and Bud Light specials. If you can't make it to Granite City, tune into 1330 AM WNTA.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all of the IceHogs regular-and post-season games on the Hogs’ flagship radio station, Rockford’s Voice, WNTA-AM 1330 and 30 regular season games on ESPN Radio 1380-AM, WTJK. Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with AHL Live! Also, fans with Comcast Cable television in Rockford can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action at the BMO Harris Bank Center this season.
